Fructose / IBS

When diagnosed with fructose malabsorption and or irritable bowel disease, the first goal of management is to restrict as many foods as possible to make you symptom free.  As a general statement, during this initial phase it is best to reduce the fructose, major sources of wheat, fructans, oligossacharides, resistant starch plus other items.

Once you are feeling symptom free, the goal is to re-introduce foods via a challenged process to determine your own individual tolerance of which foods you can eat, in which concentration and combination.  Everyone’s story will be different.  You can contact Helen Bauzon to organise an individual appointment.

Therefore in providing recipe ideas it is easier to provide these for the initial phase.

The suggested fructose friendly recipes have been developed by making simple changes to the original recipe.

The benefit of this; this will teach you how to modify any of your own favourite recipes at home.
