Since 2000, Helen has helped thousands of people who have had Gastric Band surgery. Helen solely developed, conducted and managed the Dietary program on a consultancy basis, for Lap-Surgery Australia (one of the major Gastric Band clinics in Melbourne, Australia) over the past 9 years and has recently moved on to work completely independently (May 2008).
Helen’s goal is to now help the thousands of banded individuals who are struggling due to lack of education and support. Helen consults to a number of bariatric surgeons and since 2009 has set up a private practice at The Centre Of Bariatric Surgery.
In 2002, Helen was approached to develope the Glycemic Index Testing Service for the International Diabetes Institute and in 2007 and to establish and manage the dietary program for Metabolica (A medically supervised weight loss centre in Melbourne)
In 2002 Helen launched her interactive Diabetes education resource, “Diabetes-insideout” to help the Health professional educated diabetes in a simple and interactive manner and for the consumer to view a simple animated web friendly explanation of what diabetes is.
In 2008 completed her home based series of DVD’s focusing on weight management. A combination of work in the Clinical, Community, Pharmaceutical and Consultancy within the Food, Fitness, Medical and Resource Development industry, has produced a thriving business Take Control assisted by Helen Bauzon.
The over aim of Take Control assisted by Helen Bauzon is to equip the individual with the appropriate knowledge to enable them to successfully implement lifestyle changes resulting in, permanent weight loss, Increased energy levels, Increased productivity at work , Reduced absentees , Improved self esteem.
Helen regularly presents to a wide audience including the consumer, health professionals and business owners.
